The present foreword, which is also a theoretical introduction to the subsequent contributions, provides a general overview of the project aimed at a database of cross-linguistically relevant grammatical contexts based on a parallel corpus of New Testament translations. In the final part, the reader will find a brief summary of the structure and content of the papers included in this issue.
