Языки мира демонстрируют разные типы
взаимодействия тона и фонации. В этой работе рассматривается
типологическое разнообразие фонации гласных и ее взаимодействие с
тоном в сапотекских языках. Для проведения исследования было
выбрано десять сапотекских языков, которые репрезентативно
представляют традиционную и географическую внутреннюю классификацию
это подгруппы. Было проведено синхронное и диахроническое
сопоставление этих языков с точки зрения их инвентаря типов
фонации. Кроме того, было проведено сравнение одновременной
реализации тона и фонации в этих языках. Данные исследования
показали, что в большинстве рассматриваемых языков взаимодействие
этих двух просодических явлений соответствует т. н. смешанной
системе [Kuang 2013]. Смешанная система представляет собой
сочетаемость разных типов контраста и корреляцию определенных типов
тонов и определенных типов фонации.
